タンパク質のフォールディングは常に凝集体形成と隣り合わせにあり、細胞はシャペロンや品質管理機構を準備して凝集形成を防いでいる。タンパク質凝集は「厄介者」という捉え方が一般的であるが、はたして単に厄介なだけの存在なのであろうか？ 本セミナーでは我々が行ってきた凝集体形成解析やシャペロンの細胞内基質の研究から見えてきたタンパク質凝集の新たな描像について紹介したい。
