Research details of awarded presentation
Genes involved in the biosynthesis of sulfur-containing secondary metabolites produced specifically in Brassicaceae are widely conserved among seed plants, yet their function remains unclear. This study focused on orthologous genes in soybean, a major crop, and suggested that these may be involved in maintaining the carbon-nitrogen-sulfur balance.
